Alloy 2507, is referred to as a super duplex stainless steel alloy for several reasons. First, the chemistry of the ASTM A790 UNS S32750 Seamless Pipe is designed to withstand highly corrosive environments, in particular those environments which are susceptible to getting decayed by either pitting or by crevice corrosion. Second, due to its mixed microstructure phase, the A790 uns s32750 seamless pipe has properties reminiscent of both austenitic as well as ferritic classes of stainless steel, making this variety a much stronger and better class of steels.
